Basically, the CP-3220 (32 lines of 20 Characters) acts as a bi-directional, intelligent Buffer between the User/Operator of an LCD/Keypad and the Host. In doing so, the Host is free of all real-time demands. The 3220 also provides 2 PWM outputs and 5 I/O pins that can be used for Digital or Analogue Inputs, or Digital Outputs.
- Stores 8 Screens of Data within the CP-3220 itself - they are transparently updated ‘at the convenience of the Host’
- Local Buttons or a Keypad give the user on-demand access to those Screens without any involvement of the Host
- For Keypad entry, the Host specifies an Input Box with limits. At the Host’s convenience, it checks for completion and collects the results
- Bar Graphs accept raw data and complete all the Scaling according to the Host's spec.
- Large Numeric Characters available
- User loadable Firmware for Updates/Revisions
Notes:
- Designed for use with 4x20 LCDs only
- Kit1 Firmware cannot be Updated from the PC as is - the user needs to add the parts of Kit2, or transfer the Chip to another 28 pin AVR socket that has a PC serial connection.
